Yeast: The Musical

RC Scissorhand
Today has been another crazy busy day. Diamond and I headed to breakfast at 8:45 so we could meet up with Res Life at 9:30. We first broke into groups and created the perfect RC out of symbols. It was quite fun. Our creation was named 'RC Scissorhand'.
Next, we planned out our duty schedules for the week. It took over 45 minutes. Hopefully it will not take as long the next time we do it....
After scheduling our duties for the week, we took tours of the main office and the med room. The tours were helpful, even though I have been in the main office a bunch of times. It was nice to get explanations of everything in the office finally.
We headed to lunch around 12:15. I grabbed baked orange chicken and mac and cheese. It was so yummy. I decided to also grab fro-yo with whipped cream, crushed Andes mints, and rainbow jimmies. Another good choice.

After lunch, we met as Res Life to create the evening activities for the week. I will be co-hosting an Improv activity with Tim called 'Scenes from a Hat' where the students will have to act out random scenes we have created and pulled out of a hat. (I stole this idea from 'Who's Line is It Anyway?') I will also be hosting a program called Iphonography, teaching the students about photography apps and the best ways to photograph using an IPhone. (Apparently TIPsters LOVE Instagram, so I figured this would be a great way to take better 'Instagram Pics'.)

Once all of the evening activities were squared away, Sarah sent us to create the rules video for the TIPsters. I wound up filming all of the scenes, except for the scene I was in. I will definitely share the video once I get it from Sam, the RC who is editing it.
The video took forever and everyone started getting really annoyed with each other. By the time we finished, we only had an hour to relax before dinner.
I decided to check out flights home during my break. I found a flight from Charlotte, NC to Trenton, NJ for only $98. Since Diamond lives in Charlotte, she is going to drive me to the airport and then I'm going to get picked up by my mom (I think) from Trenton on July 27th. (2 whole days before I thought I'd be coming home!)

Yummy hot chocolate
Cool computer

After I purchased my flight ticket, Diamond and I headed to O-House for dinner. I grabbed chicken stir fry, again, and was not disappointed. I also tried out the coffee bar. (Since I don't like coffee, I got a hot chocolate.) IT WAS SO COOL. Everything was done on a computer and then the barista made it for you right there. I was amazed. It was a high tech version of the Chat at Arcadia, but solely for coffee and other drinks.

Beginning of the belt
After dinner, Terrance, Mayowa, Tim, and I were going to watch Orange is the New Black. Somehow, plans changed and we went to Krispy Kreme for National Donut Day. I don't like donuts, but I grabbed a free one for Ginny since she was still in the office. Krispy Kreme was so cool looking, though. You could watch the donuts get made. I was amazed.

Once we got back to campus, a few staff members were playing Cards Against Humanity. We joined in and had a lot of laughs. I had never played before, but I quickly grew to love the 'party game for terrible people.' One of the cards that won was "_______: The Musical" and Tim, who was choosing the cards nearly died laughing when he came across the option of "Yeast: The Musical". I think we are all delusional and exhausted that everything was hysterical, especially picturing a singing piece of bread....

Now I am in my room watching the last season of The Guild. Once this is over, I'm moving to OITNB. I CAN'T WAIT.

I have off tomorrow so I am going to sleep in and binge-watch Netflix. It's going to be awesome.
Sunday the kids show up and I have to be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed at 7AM. Early to bed for me tomorrow night...
Until next time,
A
