I did not want to sit in my room, listening to the tests all day so Diamond and I drove around Athens.
We took pictures with the big, stone UGA sign. (I will post pictures at a later date.)
We continued to drive around and found an adorable metal statue outside of the library in Athens. We decided to re-enact the statue and took a picture with it. (I will post pictures of this later as well.)
We headed back to UGA and then headed back to our rooms.
Diamond's boyfriend sent her an edible arrangement so she was full and decided not to go to lunch. Instead, Terrance and I headed over to Snelling at 1.

After lunch, I was able to Skype with a friend from home for a bit, which was really nice. Unfortunately, the fire alarms kept going off while we were talking, but it apparently didn't sound horrible on the other end.
At 4PM, my babies returned from class and I had to supervise free time by making rounds of the 2nd and 3rd floors. Everyone was pretty well behaved.
At 4:45, we met for dinner and headed over to O-House. I decided to try out some scrambled eggs with onions, green peppers, bacon, and cheddar cheese. It was such a good decision.
After dinner, I met with my committee to plan the BIG event on Saturday. After much deliberation, we decided on an Amazing Race style event with multiple stations and activities for 10 groups to partake in. It should be an interesting event. I'm really glad that I am able to plan events here, since I spent most of my undergrad on the executive board for our Student Programming Board, which planned the weekly campus events.
When it was time to pull out the cookies from the oven, I realized I didn't have any oven mitts. I decided to use my shirt since I was wearing a cami underneath. My girls thought it was hilariously resourceful.
After our super fun group night, the girls had free time to hang out with their friends until 10:30. I sat in the hallway chatting with a few RCs and my girls came over and hung out as well. One resident really opened up to me and I am so glad she feels comfortable talking to me. I think we are going to have a great term.
After lights out, I had to talk to my supervisor, Sarah, about a few issues that have come up. They are nothing serious, but I just need to keep an eye on my girls.
Since 11, I have been on night duty with another RC, Carter. We have been doing rounds every half hour to make sure students are sleeping.
My first round, I had to knock on a door to tell them to be quiet. The guys were so shocked they thought I was a ghost. I scared them into being quiet, which is pretty hilarious.
During my downtime on duty, I finished Orange is the New Black. I don't know what to do with myself. I need everyone to catch up so I can talk to someone about it!!!!
Now I am waiting to do my last round. I want to do it as close to 2AM as possible so I can go to sleep immediately after.
Tomorrow (well, today, technically) I am on med pager, which means I get to take sick kids to the clinic or hospital as needed. It shouldn't be too bad. (I get to drive a nice van so I'm pumped.) I am also running an Improv program with Tim, which should be fun.
Until next time,
A
