I was exhausted, but I found my favorite kind of chips: DILL PICKLE FLAVORED. I can't remember the last time I had seen them and I was super excited that I found them here.
We got back to campus around 1AM and I immediately passed out.
I woke up for breakfast at 8:30 because I was terrified that I would have a hectic day like I had dealt with on Saturday. I ate breakfast with a few other RCs and then headed back to Myers for on-hall time with my girls.
I had the opportunity to call my parents today and was able to wish my dad a happy father's day. (I even sent him a card which made it to him in time.) It was really nice to chat with him since I haven't been able to talk to him much since I've been here.
After my phone call, I worked on organizing my TIPstar event with Diamond. We finished up around 12, just in time for lunch.

After lunch, we set up for TIPstar and then hosted the event from 1:30-4:15. Diamond and I ran an event about self-care and emotions. Students wrote their cares on a piece of paper and then tore them up and threw them away. After the throwing, we discussed different ways to 'let go' of cares and things weighing them down. Many of the students got into it, but a few were very rude about it. I guess kids will be kids.
After TIPstar, we headed to dinner as an RC family. We talked about TIPstar and about random things.
Right after dinner, we headed to the MLC to watch a movie. The kids voted on "How to Train Your Dragon", which is one of my favorite movies. I was so happy to just relax for a little while.
After the movie, we found out which teams we are on for spirit week. I am on the green team, with a bunch of little assholes....
We met on the 3rd floor by the laundry room to discuss our team name, our chants, our entrance, and who was participating in what during Dawgfest on Sunday.
After about 45 minutes, we finally decided on a name and a chant: Green Baes with the chants 'This is our swamp' and 'It's all ogre now'. The kids just were not listening and made this go on forever.
Since the kids were not listening, and were being very rude to me and Carter, we cracked down. We told the students they were no longer able to talk unless they were signing up for an activity. Unfortunately this didn't work.
We were in this meeting until 10PM, which really pissed off the kids, but I was so done. They were snippy and rude, which made me very short tempered by the time I had to go to my meeting with my girls.
Of course my girls were super indecisive about everything, which made me more upset. They all saw me at the previous meeting so they knew how upset I was, but they continued to be difficult. After about 20 minutes, they finally decided that we are going to go to Walmart for our RC group night to get supplies for spirit week and our TIPsync event on Sunday.
Let's just say I am done with kids for the next 24+ hours and I cannot wait for my day off to start.
Since 11, I have been on night duty with Carter, doing rounds every 1/2 hour. Gianna and Steven have been sitting here with us, making us crack up hysterically. It has been a fun night on duty.
Tomorrow is my day off. THANK GOD. I cannot wait to sleep and not deal with anyone until Tuesday at 4 (since I don't have any duties until then).
Most likely my day will consist of sleep and Netflix, just like last Monday, and I am completely okay with that.
Until next time,
A
