Massive Headaches and Major Knee Pain

Today has been super long and super boring. I slept through breakfast and had to run across campus to the MLC to get to the first session on time. Of course, my knees have started to act up so I have been in a lot of pain and the running across campus was not helpful.
MLC
We went over a bunch of information about how to work with gifted students and different issues that may arise. It was a lot of information, but very helpful (also very boring).
Cool advertising
After we spent about 3 hours discussing gifted students, we headed to lunch.

My knee was killing me so I opted to take the bus to Snelling. I saw that the clubs on campus were allowed to paint advertisements on the road by the bus stop outside of the MLC/Tate. It was so cool looking and made me wish that even chalk writing would be possible at Arcadia. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to do that kind of stuff, but it would probably get more people out to events...
Riding in style

Once we got to Snelling, I realized how hungry I was (since I hadn't had breakfast). I grabbed a turkey burger with cheddar cheese and french fries. I decided against eating anything else so I could eat something bigger for dinner.

After lunch, we had to head back to MLC for a Residence Life breakout session. Basically, we discussed programming for an hour and a half. We also chose committees to work on bigger events. I will be heading the Lip Sync, BIG Event, and Term book/slide show committees. I am really excited to help plan these events.
We also discussed making a rules video for Sunday for the TIPsters. I am excited to see how this will pan out....
Inspirational graffiti

After the breakout session, we met up with the academic staff and did a leadership styles test. I already knew that I have a blue and gold leadership personality, but I took it anyway. (Blues have a lot of feelings, which anyone who knows me can agree that I have all the feels all of the time....) We broke into groups by color and discussed our strengths and weaknesses. Basically, blues are team players who lead from behind. Sometimes, we focus too much on the group and lose sight of the task at hand, but we always make everyone in the group feel important. (That's the most important part, right?)
We then discussed more nitty gritty boring things, which I honestly cannot remember.
We dismissed a bit early and headed to O-House for dinner. Before going there, Diamond and I headed to the bathroom and found a lovely piece of graffiti in one of the stalls.

When I got to O-House, I opted for chicken, mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, and rice krispie treats. It was yummy!

After dinner, I headed to the staff lounge to work on my hall decs, but was pulled away by Rachel, our On Site Director, to test my driving.
I was tested with 2 other staff members (2 male TAs) and passed. Woohoo!

After my test, I sat in the staff office with a few RCs and listened to music. Rachel came to grab me again because she was very tired and needed help with a few things in the office. I jumped at a chance for something to do.
It wasn't much, but I helped her organize a few things and was able to get her off to bed quicker than she would have without my help.
I offered to help Terrance with a few things, but his perfectionism made it hard to help.

Now, I am going to finish a series on Netflix called the Guild. Hopefully I won't fall asleep while watching it.

Tomorrow I don't have anything until 9:30. I might get up early enough for breakfast, but we will see how I am feeling. I have a massive headache and my knee is still killing me so we shall see.

Until next time,
A
